Bethesda Receives Grant from Susquehanna County Drug and Alcohol Commission
Wednesday, March 14, 2007

Bethesda Day Treatment Center, Inc. is recipient of a Susquehanna County Drug and Alcohol Commission No-Tobacco Initiative Mini-Grant.

Funding from the award, to be officially presented on March 20, will be utilized to promote the Commission’s No-Tobacco Initiative county-wide.  The Bethesda South Montrose staff will be conducting weekly drug and alcohol education classes for all students.  Each student will then be given the opportunity to design a creative poster depicting the negative outcomes associated with tobacco use.

The top five posters created will be reproduced as billboards for display at various sites throughout Susquehanna County.

Under the direction of Jerilyn Keen, President and Scott Constantini, Regional Manager, the South Montrose Bethesda Center provides Alternative Education for Disruptive Youth, Intensive Day Treatment, Specialized Foster Care, and a Medical Assistance approved Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Program.

Bethesda Day Treatment Center, a private non-profit organization, operates eleven treatment facilities within Pennsylvania.  Additional information may be obtained from the organization’s website at www.bdtcpa.org.
