Treatment centers present awards
December 2007

Bethesda PA Treatment and Healing recently hosted its annual awards and holiday celebration at La Primavera Restaurant in Lewisburg.

There were 129 people in attendance, representing PA Treatment and Healing (PATH)’s 11 treatment locations throughout the state.

Hosted by president Jerilyn Keen and board director Fred Martin, other guests included advisory committee members Larry Weidman, Bill Rossnock, Molly McCarty, Dr. Matthew Emery, and Dustin Emery.

Attendance awards were given to 17 full-time employees who served an entire year without missing a day of work. Length of service awards were presented to 41 staff members who have been employed by PA Treatment and Healing five to 22 years. Those awards are as follows:

·                    Five years – Heidi Bennett, Christopher Fritz, Jon Gamble, Tara Gillick, Megan Goff, Jeanine Marcello, Linda O’Hagan, and Roger Zettlemoyer.

·                    Six years – Michael DiMattia, Brandy Erb, Gail Pearson, Eric Roberts, and Jonathon Sharpe.

·                    Seven years – Sally Edler, Jennifer Evans, Deborah Kann Nelson, Jacqueline Ross, and Barbara Weibley.

·                    Eight years – Yvonne Clay, Erica Frey, Tiffany Hesseck, Stacey Kifolo, Steve Rizzo, Gary Shipman, and Robert Vanderwall.

·                    Nine years – Jeffrey Hontz, Gene McCarty, Gary O’Neal, Lisa Vandermark, and Esther Zeager.

·                    10 years – Lisa Alfieri, Scott Constantini, Lance Evina, John O’Brien, and Stephanie Rice.

·                    11 years – Steve Gaito.

·                    12 years – Michelle Finck and Doug Luisi.

·                    14 years – Michele Barrows

·                    17 years – Dwight Evans

·                    22 years – Keen.

Each year the agency receives donations from business for the purposes of rewarding dedicated staff who work tirelessly to help youth and families referred to Bethesda PA Treatment and Healing. This year PATH received a plethora of prizes to award to their staff from the following businesses: Applebees of Lewisburg; BJ’s Steak and Ribs, TGI Friday’s; The Genetti of Williamsport; Applebees of Scranton; Best Western Wilkes Barre; Target of Wilkes Barre; The Inn at Nickels Village; Fairfield Inn, Dickson City; Pocono Manor Inn, Golf Resorts and Spa; Caesar’s Pocono Resorts; Hampton Inn, Lewisburg; Weis Markets, Lewisburg; and Holiday Inn, New Columbia.

The agency also honored team members with several special awards for exemplary performance. The Spirit of PATH Award was given to Stephanie Rice, who also performed a solo for the program; the PA Treatment and Healing Teaching Award of Excellence was awarded to Robin Johnson; the Counseling Award of Excellence was presented to Heather Heiny; the Outstanding Teamwork Award was given to the Williamsport Center; the Presidential Award for Perseverance was presented to the State College Center; the Employee of the Year Award was awarded to Dean of Students Curt Keihl; and the Manager’s Leadership Award was presented to NE Regional Manager Scott Constantini.

In addition, the Risk Management Committee, the 2007 Employees of the Month and the recipients of the quarterly Caught in the Act of Caring Award were also recognized.

The celebration was planned by Jennifer Evans, and SW regional manager, and Tanya Printzenhoff, administration assistant.
